A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

After receiving rave reviews and standing ovations last year, The Dickens Theatre Company return to the Towngate with their 5 star production of The Charles Dickens Classic Christmas story.

  • Adapted by Ryan Philpott
  • Directed by Eric Richard
  • Music by Paul Higgs

"Bah! Humbug! It's just an excuse to pick a man's pocket once a year!" The old miser, Ebeneezer Scrooge, has no time for Christmas or those that celebrate it.

On Christmas Eve he is visited by the ghostly apparition, of his seven years dead business partner, Jacob Marley. Condemned, for eternity, to wander the earth shackled by the chain of wrong doing he forged in life. He warns Scrooge that he will be visited by three spirits and given the chance to escape a similar fate. But, will Scrooge amend his ways? Does he deserve a second chance?
